What Is the Best Tier 5 Tank in Wot

Choosing which tank line to play in World of Tanks can feel like an impossible challenge. Given that the game has over 50 complete tank lines that span from tier 1 to tier 10 you have a wide array of tanks at your disposal. This World of Tanks which British tank line is right for you guide will help guide you through the British tech tree.

Each tank in the British tank line is broken down into a quick synopsis of the general characteristics of each tank. Also, how well the tank line as a whole performs and ease of grinding is covered.

If you find yourself wanting to see a specific tank played, please hop over and catch me live on my Twitch channel. I take tank requests every stream and I own most tanks(595+) in the game. Even if I don't own a particular tank I will gladly field any questions you have about one or a specific tank line.

World of Tanks British Tanks | Primary Heavy Tank Line | (Cruiser I (Tier 1) -> Super Conqueror (Tier 10)

Cruiser Mk. I (Tier 1)

At tier 1 the The Cruiser MK. I has the deadly 40mm Pom Pom proptype gun which packs a mean punch at tier 1. This tank is a quick grind but is very fun/easy to play with the Pom Pom.

Cruiser II (Tier 2)

The Cruiser II has an upgraded Pom Pom gun you'll need to unlock before getting the "full tank". The Cruiser II is a little sluggish at tier 2. However, on the plus side you have reliable firepower. This is a quick and painless grind over in a handful of battles.

Valentine (Tier 3)

The Valentine at tier 3 has great overall armor and a somewhat "meh" arsenal of guns to choose from.  The Valentine isn't meant to dish out overwhelming amounts of damage but the sturdiness of the tank helps keep it fun tank to play if you like "heavy mediums".

Matilda (Tier 4)

At tier 4 the Matilda is a heavily armored medium which at tier 4 functions as a heavy tank.  The stock configuration is very bad for the Matilda until you reach the 2lber X-B which has very good DPM for a tank like the Matilda. The main downside is the speed which handicaps what you can accomplish.  For its petite size it is a force to be reckoned with.

Churchill I (Tier 5)

The Churchill I suffers mainly from being a tier 5 tank that often faces tier 6/7 tanks.  It has thick armor that holds up well against tier 3-5 tanks.  But once you start seeing tier 6+ the armor starts to falter.  Your mobility isn't very good even with the top engine.  Firepower you also start off slow until you have the top gun.  While the Churchill I can hold its own in its tier it has a tough time against higher tier tanks.  For most this will be a tough tank to pass through.  My best advice is play it like a heavy when top tier and if you aren't then play it safer.

Churchill I Weak Spots: https://wotguru.com/weak-spot-guide-churchill-i/

Churchill VII (Tier 6)

At tier 6 the Churchill VII doesn't change much coming from the previous Churchill I.  Armor improves relative to moving up a tier.  Besides that the engine/gun upgrades feel the same considering you are a tier higher.  Fortunately matchmaking usually is a little kinder to tier 6 tanks.  When you are top tier or only against a few tier 7's this isn't a bad tank.  If you have a lot of tier 7/8 foes then play it safe since your armor won't hold up.

Black Prince (Tier 7)

The Black Prince concludes the Churchill part of this tank line.  Finally your armor receives modest improvements to withstand a beating.  Besides premium rounds you can shrug off most shells up to tier 8 tank destroyers.  Keep in mind tier 9 tanks can penetrate you fairly well.  Your firepower isn't bad with a high rate of fire/high penetration combo.  But it feels misplaced on a slow heavy tank like the Black Prince.  Since your mobility is at the bottom of all tier 7 tanks you need to keep an eye on the map.  Avoid brawling high alpha tanks that outclass your low damage per shot gun.  Also avoid being left behind where you can get easily flanked.

Overall the Black Prince is a great tank on paper.  However, the combination of the more medium like gun and slow/armored nature of the tank makes it difficult to play.  You'll often find yourself unable to utilize your DPM against higher tiers and/or guns that do 2x+ damage per shot.

Caernarvon (Tier 8)

At tier 8 the Caernarvon is one of the oddest named tanks in the game and is a welcomed sight after the Churchill tanks.  After receiving a significant buff in the 9.20.1 patch the Caernarvon is a great tier 8 heavy tank.  Once full upgraded it has excellent turret protection. Great gun depression. A well rounded gun. And workable front hull armor on the upper glacis.  While it won't soak up a ton of shots on level ground it is difficult to face on hilly terrain.  The closest comparison would be the T32, but the Caernarvon has a much better gun available for it.

Conqueror (Tier 9)

The tier 9 Conqueror received many changes in the 9.20.1 update for World of Tanks.  Prior it had very little armor, more mobility, and less gun depression.  Currently the tier 9 Conqueror has average mobility, excellent firepower, and great armor.  Frontally its main weak spot is the lower glacis and an extremely small cupola.  When hull down even tier 10 tanks struggle to damage it reliably with its 10 degrees of gun depression.  Its top gun is extremely accurate, fires fast, and has great penetration.  The main drawback is poor armor on the sides/rear of the tank.  Unless it is caught on level ground out of cover it is one of the toughest tier 9 tanks to face off against.

Super Conqueror (Tier 10)

The Super Conqueror improves upon the tier 9 Conqueror in several ways.  The 120mm gun receives improvements across the board in accuracy and rate of fire.  This gives it one of the highest DPMs for tier 10 heavy tanks.  It retains 10 degrees of gun depression which makes it nearly impossible to penetrate when hull down.  With the added spaced armor on the turret and upper glacis it is virtually immune to most shells. Only HE and some premium rounds at tier 10 can cause damage.  The main drawbacks, if you can call them that, are poor side/rear armor.  Simply don't extend the Super Conqueror to far and play to its many strengths. Doing this is tough to beat as an enemy tank

World of Tanks British Tanks | Light Tank Line | Cruiser III (Tier 3) -> Manticore (Tier 10)

Cruiser III (Tier 3)

At tier 3 the Cruiser III is a quick grind for most. Others decide to hang onto it due to the awesome 40mm Pom-Pom gun it has.  With a huge amount of firepower the Cruiser III is deadly if you don't get killed early in a match.  Combined with good mobility you have a deadly low tier tank.  Avoid taking too many shots since the armor is non-existent. Otherwise pew pew away.

Cruiser IV (Tier 4)

The Cruiser IV plays similar to the Cruiser III and the starting grind is a breeze.  Once upgraded however you have an even more deadly 40mm Bofors gun.  With it your accuracy, penetration, and rate of fire increase immensely.  Armor and suitability remain poor for its tier.  Keep to safe areas and let your gun do the heavy lifting.

Covenantor (Tier 5)

The Covenantor carriers over a lot of modules from the Cruiser IV.  This leads to another easy starting grind.  You can either stick with the Bofors or use the 3 inch howitzer depending on your play style.  For its tier the Covenantor does lack firepower when it faces higher tier opponents.  What it excels at is bullying lightly armored tanks and abusing flanking opportunities.  With excellent mobility and ok armor against lower tiers it is a light tank hunter.

Crusader (Tier 6)

Unlike previous tiers the Crusader grind starts off horrible until you unlock the 6 pdr guns.  Once you are past that initial shock and have the tank upgraded it plays similarly to the Covenantor.  The Crusader is a pinch slow for having no armor and an average gun at tier 6.  The 6 pdr works well against anything besides heavy tanks and armored tank destroyers.  An excellent tank for those good at being in the right place at the right time.  A poor tank if you try to fight against tanks with better guns and armor.

Setter (Tier 7)

The Setter kicks off the trend of the high tier British light tanks. Small sizes, good mobility, great camouflage / View Range, and great top gun penetration / damage per shot. Sounds great right?

Many will hammer home the lower damage per minute of the Setter and following tanks. However, the rest of the package is easy to play and consistent. For the Setter the main issue is the grind to the top gun since without it the tank quite simply is bad. After that? Avoid prolonged fights and brawling and you'll love it.

LHMTV (Tier 8)

The LHMTV is identical to the Setter when it comes to the grind & also play style. Without the top gun the tank doesn't really pull its weight for a tier 8 light. With it however you do great damage per shot and have excellent penetration. Use your small size and stealth to shoot, scoot, and avoid fights that expose your low DPM.

GSOR (Tier 9)

The GSOR takes the LHMTV and mostly just improves upon it at tier 9 with a smaller turret silhouette. Your gun sees modest improvements(albeit not much) and mobility gets a small boost too. While the GSOR isn't a bad tier 9 light it does feel a little lackluster for its tier when compared to the LHMTV.

Manticore (Tier 10)

The pinnacle of the British light tank line is the Manticore which is one of the smallest high tier tanks in the game. You'll feel right at home as far as the role you fill since it is similar to the previous light tanks. The main different is the jump in damage per shot since going from 240 to 390 is an eye opener.

Your camouflage when compared with the view range + petite size is match made in heaven. You can move around the battlefield without being seen or hit very easily. Poking over hills you can take shots without being hit due to your small size often times. The main negative is still that low DPM which prevents you from putting out a lot of damage across a sustained engagement. Often times its not an issue since you'll be ducking in and out of fights.

World of Tanks British Tanks | Medium Tank Line | Cavalier (Tier 5) -> Centurion AX (Tier 10)

Cavalier (Tier 5)

Kicking off the British medium line is the Cavalier that was added in 2020. This tank is an upgraded Crusader light tank that makes it fit well a tier lower and also shifting to the medium tank role. With Plenty of gun options you have a lot to unlock and choose between. You have a howitzer gun, fast firing low damage gun, or a gun that falls between the two.

Mobility could be a bit higher since you often find yourself taking shots very easily due to the shape & size of the tank. Otherwise the gun options allow you play it to your own liking. The grind isn't that bad either.

Cromwell (Tier 6)

The Cromwell is a zippy tier 6 medium and is a favorite of many.  With the mobility of a light tank and a fast firing gun you are capable of many things.  The upside of the Cromwell is an extremely mobile platform with high damage potential.  Unfortunately with that comes poor armor and extremely poor accuracy while moving.  Many resort to using ample amounts of premium rounds which negates the accuracy disadvantage.  If you don't mind the poor accuracy while moving the Cromwell is tough be beat at tier 6.

Comet (Tier 7)

The Comet improves upon the Cromwell's design and ditches the poor accuracy.  At tier 7 the Comet is extremely mobile and its gun resembles more of a light tanks gun for the tier.  While the on the move accuracy, rate of fire, and penetration are good. The damage per shot is lacking, especially against tier 8/9 tanks.  While the Comet's firepower is worse for its tier than the Cromwell's the accuracy allows you to use it better. Stay out of fights you can't win against heavier tanks and the Comet shines.

Centurion Mk. 1 (Tier 8)

At tier 8 the Centurion Mk. 1 is a large step up in size coming from the Comet.  The grind starts off slow until you unlock the top gun.  Once fully elite the Centurion Mk. 1 plays similar to the M26 Pershing.  Gun depression, a well rounded gun, and a well protected turret front are your strengths.  Fighting at mid range on small hills will allow you to deal damage safely early.  The size of the hull, slightly poor mobility, and poor armor can pose problems.  Stay away from risky spots early on in a match to avoid taking damage.

Centurion Mk. 7/1 (Tier 9)

Much like the Cromwell to Comet upgrade. The Centurion Mk. 7/1 improves the template the tier 8 Centurion laid.  Armor improves on the upper glacis and turret greatly.  This will allow better hull down opportunities against a wider array of foes.  The top gun truly makes the Centurion Mk. 7/1 shine since it can deal with any enemy tank.  The standard shell has enough penetration to deal with armored tanks.  The two HESH shells have enough penetration to shred lightly armored tanks.  Against tanks with armor HESH can be used if you get clear side/rear shots.

The main drawback of the Centurion Mk. 7/1 is still the somewhat low mobility and large size.  Avoid exposing yourself early in matches and wide open areas.

Centurion AX (Tier 10)

The pinnacle of the British mediums is the Centurion AX.  The armor profile remains almost identical coming from the Centurion Mk. 7/1.  You still retain excellent 10 degrees of gun depression that makes it a good hill fighter.  The main improvements come with a higher rate of fire, better accuracy, and a stronger engine.  Whereas the tier 9 Centurion sometimes felt sluggish the Centurion AX feels just right.  You do lose the 210mm penetration HESH round and gain a 330mm penetration HEAT shell.  The standard HESH still having 105mm penetration is enough to pester lightly armored tanks.

With the third Centurion tank in a row you will notice the minor but important changes leading to tier 10.  While the large size does pose some issues for the Centurion AX it isn't a huge negative.  With the solid gun, decent armor while hull down, and good mobility it performs very well.

World of Tanks British Tanks | Casemate Tank Destroyer Line | Valentine AT (Tier 4) -> FV217 Badger (Tier 10)

Valentine (Tier 4)

At tier 4 is the Valentine AT.  The Valentine AT has great all around hull armor but has a gigantic weak spot slapped on top of it where the turret would have been for the standard Valentine tank.  This entire top section is very weak and on top of that HE shells(arty) causes massive damage.  Even with this major flaw the tank is great and is very fun to play with the howitzer gun since you can cause a massive amount of damage per shot.

AT 2 (Tier 5)

At tier 5 this line dramatically shifts towards a slower paced tank in the form of the "AT#" series of tanks.  Overall these tanks are not speedy tanks but bring other aspects to the table to make them worthwhile.  At tier 5 the AT 2 is an absolute monster as far as armor goes.  The AT 2 does not have many good gun options but the upgraded 6-pdr is adequate enough to pester your opponents to death.  Plow ahead and take the hits since the AT 2 is immune to a lot of enemies around tier 5 on its frontal armor.  This tank might not be for everyone since you won't light up the score board every match but for those who like to soak up damage it is very rewarding.

AT 2 Tank Guide: https://wotguru.com/tank-guide-2/

AT 2 Weak Spots: https://wotguru.com/weak-spot-guide-at-2/

AT 8 (Tier 6)

Next in the line is the tier 6 AT 8 which still has a decent amount of armor but gains a bit of firepower the AT 2 did not have.  This tank is very difficult at first until you unlock the upgraded gun. Once you obtain it you have a very accurate/high rate of fire sniper platform..  The AT 8 is great at chugging along behind the main line and supporting tanks further ahead with its great gun.  The armor scheme provides good protection from the front unless they can hit your small weak spots.  Fortunately in the 9.21 update the armor receives several buffs.  The AT 8 has an odd role as a tank destroyer that is suited to snipe and also take some shots.  Leverage your gun first and use your armor as a fallback if needed.

AT 7 (Tier 7)

After the AT 8 you are now treated to the AT 7 which is very similar to it.  Both the AT 7 and AT 8 before it have virtually the same armor effectiveness.  Since the AT 7 is a tier higher it will be a bit less effective at protecting it against the higher tier tanks it sees.  What the AT 7 has is the 20-pdr AT gun which is deadly with great damage and accuracy.  Like the AT 8 the AT 7 is a very good long range tank but without the initial tough stock tank grind.  Since the armor is less effective try to play it safer than you did in the AT 8.

AT 15 (Tier 8)

At tier 8 the size of your tank dramatically increases with the AT 15.  The AT 15's armor has good "on paper" armor but the upper section of the tank is littered with weak spots. Its armor at tier 8 struggles at times against same tier tanks. Tier 9/10's especially are difficult to deal with without taking damage.  To make up for the larger size/iffy armor the AT-15 has an excellent top gun with the 20-pdr Type B which should be unlocked easily if you unlocked the 20-pdr's on the previous tanks.  This gun might be a mere "side grade" but it is very wise to unlock it before you grind towards the Tortoise since you will need it for that tank or suffer immensely. The AT-15 plays similar to the AT 8/AT 7 but is spotted a tad more due to the larger size.

Tortoise (Tier 9)

Tier 9 unlocks the infamous Tortoise which is a vastly improved AT 15.  The Tortoise starts off "slow" without the top 120mm gun but the 20-pdr you unlocked prior on the AT 15 makes the stock grind bearable.  The armor scheme receives a huge buff in the 9.21 update.  Frontally the only true weak spot is the top loaders cupola.  Otherwise the Tortoise's armor provides great protection unless flanked.

The Tortoise has tier 10 like HP,especially considering its a tank destroyer, with 2,000 HP.  This combined with the frontal armor makes it very durable.  The Tortoise like the previous tank destroyers is excellent at being a "second line" sniper.  With it's immense firepower/accuracy/armor combo it is hard to advance on.  But if caught in close quarters and/or flanked it becomes an easy kill.  The 120mm brings unheard of damage on a tier 9 tank and allows this tank to shred through any tank put in front of it.  While you don't want to get to close to the fight. You are are capable of playing it more aggressive if you don't get flanked.

Tortoise Tank Guide: https://wotguru.com/tank-guide-tortoise/

FV217 Badger (Tier 10)

Replacing the FV215b (183) is the FV217 Badger at tier 10.  The Badger is a Tortoise on steroids and is a blast to play.  Frontally its weakest armor moves from the cupola on the Tortoise to the lower glacis on the Badger.  It sits at a staggering 243mm-278mm effective on the lower glacis. The remaining frontal armor is immune to all but select premium tier 10 shell and lucky RNG rolls.  Combine this with great gun depression. The highest DPM gun in the game. Good hull traverse values. .30 accuracy. Also 272mm standard penetration. You have yourself an unstoppable force unless enemy SPGs rain hell down upon you.  Your only other weakness is being flanked since you have no turret.

While the Badger is a new vehicle and probably will be toned down several notches. Currently it is one of the easiest to play and best performing tier 10 tanks in World of Tanks.

World of Tanks British Tanks | Turreted Tank Destroyer Line | Achilles (Tier 6) ->FV4005 Stage II (Tier 10)

Achilles (Tier 6)

Tier 6 sees you move into the Achilles tank destroyer which can actually go faster going forward than in reverse.  The Achilles also uses the 17 pder as its top gun and sees an increase in accuracy and rate of fire giving it a very good gun for its tier like the Archer.  The Achilles only has 5 degrees of gun depression and no armor to speak of(get used to it in this branch).  On the plus side the Achilles is very mobile with its strong power/weight ratio and good terrain resistance values.  Overall the Achilles is a painless tank to grind through and with its great firepower is a great tank destroyer if you avoid close firefights.

Challenger (Tier 7)

At tier 7 is the Challenger tank destroyer which is much larger than the Achilles but improves upon the tank in every way.  The Challenger is very fast not only in top speed but in every aspect due to its very strong engine for its weight.  Armor once again is lacking and your height is also a negative factor.  The Challenger also receives 10 degrees of gun depression which helps with its large size and lackluster stock gun.  This is the last tank in the line to use the 17 pder.

Fortunately with the 9.20.1 update the Challenger received the 32-pdr AT gun.  With this top gun the Challenger has excellent firepower to go with its mobility/gun depression.  While its DPM isn't outstanding the gun works well against tier 7/8 tanks.

Charioteer (Tier 8)

The Charioteer at tier 8 sees you gain the 105mm L7 AT gun as an option. It has 390 damage per APCR round with 268mm penetration rounds.  It also has two HESH rounds with 210mm and 105mm penetration.  The increased damage with HESH can wreck tanks with poor armor.  The Charioteer is also very mobile with a good top speed and engine allowing it to get around the map with ease.  The downside is that you are very large much like the Challenger.  Much like the Challenger the Charioteer receives several buffs in 9.20.1.  Most importantly the gun depression was raised from -5 degrees up to a staggering -10 degrees.

FV4004 Conway (Tier 9)

Tier 9 the FV4004 Conway sees a small decrease in mobility.   You are quick enough however to still move around easily but at a much slower speed than previous tanks in this branch.  The Conway has two gun options available for a top gun choice.  The 5.5 inch and the 120mm AT  L1A1 both are great options to choose from.  The 120mm is the more traditional gun of the two with better accuracy but lower damage per shot.  The 5.5 inch has an awesome 600 damage AP shell and two 770 damage HE/HESH shells.  The premium HESH has a whopping 200mm penetration.  Both guns have -10 degrees of gun depression and both pack huge damage potential.

FV4005 Stage II (Tier 10)

Ending this line at tier 10 is the FV4005 Stage II tank destroyer that equips the massive 183mm gun.  The FV4005 Stage II is massive in size in both length and height. It is actually taller than the German heavy tank Maus.  When you add in that its semi-functional turret only has 14mm of armor it creates an issue with hiding your large size and preventing enemies from annihilating you.  The FV4005 Stage II as of 9.20.1 has -10 degrees of gun depression.  With its large size you still will be a huge target when aiming over hills. So be careful!  Mobility is similar to the Conway and can surprise enemies given it used to be much slower.

With a massive 183mm gun, high mobility, large size, and no armor.  The FV4005 Stage II is one of the hardest tanks to play regardless of tier.  A lot can go wrong while playing this tank and even the most experienced players have trouble doing well in it.

British Collector Tanks & Special Tier 10 Tanks

Vickers Medium Mk. II Medium Tank (Tier 2) & Vickers Medium Mk. III Medium Tank (Tier 3)

The two Vickers medium tanks used to start many of the British tank lines before being switched to Collector tanks. Both are very large for their tiers and do not equip much armor to protect themselves.  Instead they have very good guns for tier 2 and 3 compared to their peers. However, due to the fast pace low tier matches these tanks at times will simply be torn apart before accomplishing anything.

M2 Light Tank Light Tank (Tier 2)

The M2 Light Tank is very mobile/lightly armored tanks with decent hull armor for its tier. The top gun hits okay for its tier and the mobility is above average as well. Your main downside is coming across auto-loading tanks or high alpha tanks.

UC 2-pdr Tank Destroyer (Tier 2)

The British tank destroyers are largely well protected but sluggish beasts that pack decent firepower on paper but when you dive deeper you will find out they provide more variety than what it appears to be.  Starting out at tier 2 the UC 2-pdr is a tiny frail box that is decently mobile with a nice pew-pew gun on it.  At tier 2 it can be slightly a let down since you cannot afford to be shot at….by anything since you will die before your gun can come into play.  Play this tank a bit further back and avoid taking hits.

Stuart I-IV Light Tank (Tier 3)

The Stuart I-IV isvery mobile/lightly armored tank with a very good top gun that is capable of holding its own against higher tier tanks. Mobility is excellent once fully upgraded. For a tier 3 light tank you can dish out a surprising amount of damage if you survive long enough.

Grant Medium Tank (Tier 4)

At tier 4 the Grant is very similar to the tier 4 American medium tank the M3 Lee.  The Grant has very good armor for a medium tank at tier 4, has no fully rotating turret(like a tank destroyer), and has a very good 75mm gun for its best gun option.  The Grant grind is painless and the main difficultly comes with the Grant playing more like a tank destroyer without a turret than a medium tank.  If you can handle not having a turret the Grant is a great tier 4 medium tank.  The Grant has good armor, good mobility, and an excellent gun making a very solid tank.

Alecto Tank Destroyer (Tier 4)

The Alecto like the UC 2-pdr is mobile but frail but makes up for it with excellent top gun choices of the 25-pdr and 3.7 inch howitzer.  Due to your small size, great mobility, and howitzer guns it is best to play very cautiously but at the same time move around a lot.  Position yourself to flank from a distance or to be on the second line, fling shells at enemies that cannot see you, and then run away if you are spotted.  This tank can be very challenging to play since it doesn't have a conventional gun for a lightly armored tank destroyer but can be very rewarding and a change of pace from other tanks.

Sherman III Medium Tank(Tier 5)

The Sherman III sticks with the good firepower, poor armor, and decent mobility of previous tanks and improves upon it.  The Sherman III has the same top 76mm as the American M4 Sherman however it only has 10 degrees of gun depression(compared to 12) but in return has a better rate of fire than the M4 Sherman.  It also has a premium AP shell with less penetration(but more normalization) than the M4's APCR round but it isn't a major difference.  Overall the Sherman III is a very good all around tank and you won't have many complaints about it.

Archer Tank Destroyer (Tier 5)

The tier 5 Archer is a very interesting tank at tier 5.  The Archer only has a 12 km/h top speed going forward and a 32 km/h top speed going in reverse.  It does not have the strongest engine but it is still decently mobile…..but only if you drive in reverse to where you need to get to.  Since the Archer does not have any armor to speak of or a turret it makes things difficult if you find yourself caught off guard pointing the wrong way.

The Archer also only has 7 degrees of gun depression making it hard to fight on hilly terrain.  On the plus side it is an easy grind and the Archer gets the 17 pder gun which is overkill for a tier 5 and will decimate any enemy tank you come across.  With good damage per shot, a good rate of fire, and insane penetration the damage potential easily outweighs the quirks of this tank.

Sherman Firefly Medium Tank(Tier 6)

The tier 6 medium Sherman Firefly is a Sherman variant has the 17 pder as its top gun which is awesome for a tier 6 medium tank since it allows it to deal a ton of damage.  The 17 pder has 150 damage, a good rate of fire, and very good penetration compared to other tier 6 medium tanks.  To offset the good gun the Sherman Firefly has below average mobility and only 6 degrees of gun depression.  It's a great tank but only if you avoid hilly areas and also if you are being shot at by multiple enemies.

Churchill GC Tank Destroyer (Tier 6)

Buyer beware of the horror that is the Churchill GC.  This tank has an amazing gun on it for tier 6. However, it pays a steep price for it.  You have almost no left/right gun movement. This means that you need to turn your tank's hull to hit any tank that is not sitting still ahead of you.  When you combine this with the long length of the tank you run into major issues.

You also have absolutely the most illogical armor set up on a tank. Aside from a few small areas on the hull you have a massive flat box saying "SHOOT ME" that is easily penetrated.  So while you are struggling to aim the gun. Any enemies have a clear shot at the large flat unarmored armor sitting on top of the hull.  I strongly advise to stay clear of this tank and pretend like it never was introduced.

FV215b Heavy Tank (Special Tier 10)

In the 9.20.1 update for World of Tanks the FV215b was removed as the tier 10 heavy tank in the tech tree.  It was replaced with the Super Conqueror which plays like tanks before it.  The FV215b heavy is a rear mounted heavy tank.  With this design it can't fight on hilly terrain very well, but it can side scrape somewhat effectively.  It's armor is great on the front of the turret, but is lacking everywhere else.  To make up for this the 120mm gun it has is laser accurate with a ton of DPM.  It also has top notch on the move accuracy.

FV215b Tank Guide: https://wotguru.com/tank-guide-fv215b/

FV215b Weak Spots: https://wotguru.com/weak-spot-guide-fv215b/

FV215b (183) Tank Destroyer (Special Tier 10)

The FV215b (183) is a special tier 10 tank destroyer no longer in the tech tree. It is extremely fragile on the hull and the turret stands up frontally against most incoming shots.   On the plus side it equips the 183mm L4 gun which does a whopping 1,150 damage with AP and 1,750 with HESH.  This tank is meant to dish out damage with it's insane alpha.  The accuracy/aim time are a bit of a hindrance at over 200m and makes hitting shots hard.  Overall this tank is not as "over powered" as many make it out to be.  Yes it has the potential to obliterate tanks.  However, at the same time the downsides put in place to counter this are very hard to overcome consistently. Regardless this tank is very fun to play overall albeit it not as practical at times to actually field.
